Michael has been teaching wood and stone carving for over 15 years and holds wood carving courses at his studio in Canwell, West Midlands. He also tutors a 3 year HE Certificate course in woodcarving at Birmingham University and a City and Guilds course at Dudley College. He is keen to share his extensive knowledge of his craft with those wishing to ensure the carvers art stays alive for future generations. His philosophy is " With patience and determination anyone can carve as long as they are encouraged and shown the correct techniques".

WOOD CARVING TUITION IN FULLY EQUIPPED CARVERS STUDIO

Two day and one day course - 4 people maximum.
Close individual tuition - you choose your own project with Mike's help and advice.
Help and tuition given in the correct choice of chisels and sharpening.
Complete beginners to advanced carvers - everyone is welcome!
Cold lunch provided (on two day course only).

One day class - 6 people maximum.
For the carver who wants to make a more regular commitment but still stay within a small group.
This will run every Wednesday, you choose how many Wednesdays each month you do, it could be one or all four!
Complete beginners to advanced carvers.

Thursday morning - thursday afternoon - 8 people maximum.
Designed for the carver who wants regular carving tuition each week.
Each session is 3 hours.

All equipment, chisels, mallets, clamps etc., are provided.
