"The Hands Of Life" Front & Back Views - Carved Yew Trunk. Height 6'4" (2 metres).
This two metre high carving depicts, from the base, pairs of human hands showing the initial anxiety and pain of
cancer, rising through the hopes in treatment to the belief in cure or resurection. Prior to the carving of the sculpture
the foliage was removed by local school children and after bagging up was sent to the Friendships Estates Ltd for
processing into TAXOTERE which is used in the treatment of advanced breast cancer.
